Willy Blizzard is riding a musical journey that remains true to its contemporary folk roots. Fronted by lead vocalist John Hough, who has been called “the richest baritone west of the Rockies”, he is supported by Andrea Law keeping perfect rhythm on upright bass while adding beautiful vocal harmonies. Together they have toured Alberta and B.C. for many years and recorded two albums of original material. John Hough has opened for Tom Russell at Vancouver’s Rogue Folk Club, with performance credits that include the Vancouver Folk Festival, the Mission Folk Festival, the Filberg Festival, Harrison Festival of the Arts and more. John’s former Celtic band, Under the Moss, entertained wider audiences while performing at Expo 86.
Willy Blizzard will be joined Saturday, January 14th by the Legion’s own Bob Liley on drums.
